Data You Give Us Directly
The search forms on this site send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. We do not store a copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to answer your message.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting infrastructure records ordinary server-log information, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review that data in aggregate to keep the site available and understand which pages visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the data described above to operate the site, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve page content. We do not sell a visitor list, and we do not build individual user profiles from site activity.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to City of Compton pages, Los Angeles County and California records offices, court portals, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site applies its own privacy policy, and information you submit there is governed by that site's rules. Sponsored search results are provided by a third-party company, so review that provider's policy before submitting data.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and maintain this site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is delivered over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Because there are no user accounts here, this site does not hold a password or account profile for you.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, including in California, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100-1798.199.100. Because we hold very little, most requests are narrow: we can search our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Compton, Los Angeles County, or California offices are outside our control; removal or correction requests for those records must go to the custodian office.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
